« Je ne sais plus qui je suis ». Approche psychomotrice et maintien de l'identité chez la personne âgée démente en institution

Abstract : Identity is a complex notion to characterize each one of us, as a singular individual and differentiated from the other. It oscillates between memory, and consciousness, allowing the Self to exist and to have a perception of a continuity of existence. It is based on the various pillars set out in this memoir, including the body's identity, essence of work in psychomotricity. But when memory is altered by a pathology such as dementia, what about identity? When the individual's landmarks fade due to institutionalization? Faced with this suffering of the patient, this memory questions the role of the psychomotrician in this field: can we, by the psychocorporeal approach specific to the profession of psychomotrician, support the identity of patients suffering from dementia in institutions?
