Conscience corporelle et apport de la psychomotricité dans la prise en soin de la personne obèse

Abstract : According to WHO, obesity is a chronic disease. All the definitions say obesity is due to an excess of fat mass, which comes from an imbalance between caloric intake and energy costs. However, beyond the physical and biological aspects, we cannot ignore all the psychological and social components which shape this disease. Behind the fatty covering, below the visible symptom, we must not forget there is somebody hidden, with his feelings, his real-life experiences... Through my brief, I will develop how psychomotricity can be part of a multi-disciplinary team for the medical care of patients with obesity. More specifically, I will propose to see the bodily awareness issues for our patients, and how psychomotricity can help them to regain their corporeality. During their hospitalisation, we will guide our patients towards a listening of their sensations, in order to make them able to act on their behalf. More than the weight loss, we're looking for the well-being of our patients, which will be achieved through various sensorimotor experiments
