La trisomie 21 : connaissances des femmes et vécu de l'information reçue pour le dépistage

Abstract : Introduction: prenatal screening of Down syndrome is nowadays part of standard tests proposed for control during pregnancy. Information gathered from prenatal screening are valuable for women to make a clear chose. Objectives: acknowledgement on trisomy 21 by women. How did the women experienced the information given by professional on the prenatal screening of trisomy 21. Method: quantitative approach, based on the thematic analysis of collected values on five individuals. Results: lack knowledge of the subject by women even after the interview by health professional. The interview brought more anxiety to the women. Need of more information on the subject. Discussion and conclusion: the lack of information on the prenatal screening of trisomy 21 interrogates about the mean given to women on the real choice to do or not to this test.
