L’autoconservation des ovocytes : une réponse aux troubles de l’infertilité liés à l’âge ?

Abstract : In France, since the decree of 13 October 2015 on the donation of gametes, oocyte cryopreservation is offered to women exposed to a potentially sterilizing pathology or treatment, as well as to women without children donating their oocytes. The question now arises of extending access to this practice without the need for a so-called "medical" reason. Indeed, it could be a way of adapting to the evolution of the reproductive norm of our society and thus answering a new problem of reproductive health: the increase of the infertility disorders related to the age. Health professionals have taken up this debate, as well as the women's press, but what about the women who are the first to be affected? Do they know about it? What is their perception? Thanks to the Focus Groups organized in the framework of this study, we have seen that this subject is still very much unfamiliar to public opinion, although the majority favors the lifting of the ban on this practice.
