Les séparations dans un service de pédiatrie du nourrisson : l’hospitalisation et la séparation : deux termes indissociables ?

Abstract : Since birth, infants are in constant interaction with their living environment, particularly with their parents. It is through this environment that their psychomotor, psycho-emotional and cognitive development will happen. However, whenever infants are hospitalized, the brutal change of environment will lead to multiple break-ups. Indeed, they transition from their home, a known and reassuring environment, to the hospital, unknown and often frightening place. The psychomotor therapists, by their specific approach towards the body, will ensure that this event will be part of a gentle transition rather than being traumatic.
