Le pharmacien face au développement de la chirurgie ambulatoire : prévention des complications et des infections postopératoires

Abstract : The ambulatory surgery was recognized as an alternative care to a classic hospitalization since the low hospital reform of July 31st, 1991. Since 2004, many levers were mobilized by the Ministry of Health and CNAMTS to develop the ambulatory care in health facilities. However, does this practice decrease the risks for the patient ? This will be discussed in this work. Besides, the ambulatory surgery is a patient centred practice. Patient find themselves playing a more active role in the management of their disorder. This report raises the issue of independant healthcare professionals support including the pharmacist during pre and post-operative periods. How can the pharmacist get involved more concerning the development of the ambulatory care ? What type of support remains possible to optimize the management of the patient ? This will be discussed in the second part of this work. Practical sheets will be also proposed to accompany the pharmacists in their daily practice.
