Prevalence of Periodontitis in Patient with Rheumatoid Arthritis (PREPAPOR) ,
The RA activity was evaluated using DAS-28-ESR score and the severity of PP was classified according to the CDC-AAP definition. The association between RA and PP was studied using univariate and multivariate linear and logistic regressions with taking account of age, gender, educational level, BMI, smoking and alcohol consumption, comorbidities and medication use, antibiotics use, treatments for RA, stress, delay since diagnosis of RA, presence of anti-CCP antibodies and rheumatoid factor. Results. 109 patients were included: mean age of 60.2 years old (+/-12.2) and 78.0% of women. The mean DAS-28-ESR score was 3.2 (+/-1.8). The prevalence of periodontitis was estimated at 83) for severe periodontitis, 5% (95% CI = [75, 2016. ,
However, patients treated with anti-IL-6 had a decreased probability of severe periodontitis (OR = 0.16; 95% CI = [0.03;0.79]). Conclusion. Our study highlights the important prevalence of PP in RA patients ,
