Comprendre un récit sans illustration en grande section

Abstract : The aim of this dissertation is to answer to the following issue : to what extent can the use of written texts which are non illustrated encourage the understanding of written language for pupils in last year of nursery school? The understanding of written language is one of the main goals in the last year of nursery school. Most of the time, this understanding is worked with albums, which are omnipresent in nursery school. Yet, album's pictures can prevent pupils from listening to the story. That is why it can be wise to chose written texts which are non illustrated to work the understanding with pupils. The dissertation's results prove that the use of a text without picture enable pupils to reach the understanding of the text more quickly and also enable them to memorise the written language more easily.
