Maladie de Crohn : manifestations orales et rôle de l'odontologiste

Abstract : Crohn’s disease is a chronic granulomatous inflammatory disease that affects all the digestive tract. It tends to come and go, sometimes going into remission for long periods of time. There is a real difficulty in the diagnosis and management of patients (no curative treatment). Moreover, there are many extra-digestive manifestations, especially at the oral level, still little known to dentists. Therefore, our work will be to describe Crohn’s disease, then to specify different types of oral manifestations caused by this one. Finally, we will define the role of the dental practitioner in the early diagnosis of this disease as well as in the management of the patients affected.
