Elements have been identified by the authors in the literature and will be compared to those we found. For this, a case study of a type of company studied will be carried out. Then interviews of some entrepreneurs, with their own experiences, their know-how, but also their failures, following this case study. We will collect some tips in the world of entrepreneurship. This research work begins with the definition of key words used throughout the document. The terms "biotechnologies", "pharmaceutical industries", "biotechnology start-ups" have been defined in several instances. The cycle of a drug in the pharmaceutical industry has been explained. The big differences between start-ups in biotechnology and large pharmaceutical group have been elucidated. The 3 questions that drive this work are: What are the main elements or factors that can ensure the sustainable economic development of a biotechnology company? What are the key features for start-ups in the biotechnology industry? What is true in reality: Are start-ups absorbed by large companies?
