Résumé
Rosacea is a common skin pathology that affects women 20 to 50 years old, but can also affect men, often with more severe condition. Rosacea is a pathology known for more than 200 years but its etiology and physiopathology are not fully understood. Few treatments exist on this subject, none of which is curative. It is a chronic skin pathology manifested by vascular and inflammatory lesions located mainly in the face. Rosacea is most often a benign pathology, the demand of patients is mainly justified by the aesthetic prejudice. The community pharmacist plays a key role in the issuance of a prescription or in requests for advice in drugstore. This work presents the pathophysiology of rosacea, its diagnosis, histopathology, its treatment and dermocosmetic products related to this disease.
La rosacée est une affection cutanée fréquente touchant préférentiellement la femme de 20 à 50 ans mais pouvant également toucher l’homme avec souvent, dans ce cas, une atteinte beaucoup plus sévère. La rosacée est une pathologie connue depuis plus de 200 ans mais son étiologie et sa physiopathologie ne sont pas totalement élucidées. Peu de traitements existent à ce sujet, dont aucun curatif. Il s’agit d’une pathologie cutanée chronique se manifestant par des lésions vasculaires inflammatoires localisées principalement au niveau du visage. La rosacée étant le plus souvent une pathologie bénigne, la demande des patients est surtout justifiée par le préjudice esthétique. Le pharmacien d’officine joue un rôle primordial lors de la délivrance d’ordonnance ou lors de demandes de conseil en parapharmacie. Ce travail présente la physiopathologie de la rosacée, son diagnostic, l’histopathologie, son traitement et les produits dermocosmétiques en rapport avec cette maladie.
