Les trousses de secours initialement fournies aux guides de haute montagne répondent-elles aux besoins et aux contraintes de leur pratique ?

Abstract : The mountain guide practices his profession in a high mountain environment in which he can often be isolated. For his own safety and those of his clients, the guide must have a first aid kit. The French National Ski and Mountaineering School, (ENSA) provides them a first aid kit at the beginning of their training. We have been listed the specific high mountain conditions and the needs of guides for the treatment of pathologies. We have been detailed and analyzed the current contents of the first aid kit in comparison to the needs of the guides. The drug practices of mountaineers have also been described. We can already affirm that the ready-to-use emergency kit is operational but can be optimized for easy use by aspiring guides. In this study, we propose to detail a new first aid kit drugs documation and how to use it adequatly. We advised for example to remove ibuprofen as well as nifedipine and also suggested to add sildenafil and loperamide.
