Ressenti des professionnels libéraux d’un pôle de santé pluri-professionnel sur l’hôpital de proximité

Abstract : Purpose : To analyse how liberal health care professionals of a multi-professionnal health cluster feel about local hospitals. Method : A qualitative study carried out between February and May 2016 through individual semi-direct interviews of members of the Antrain multi-professional health cluster (Ille-et-Vilaine) working with their local hospital. Results: 17 interviews were carried out. Attractive one, the local hospital also proved to be a good way to optimise health care for these liberal professionals willing to work together. The community hospital need was mutual, creating continuity of care, and decompartmentalisation of healthcare circuit. The community-hospital cooperation was successful, dynamic and essential for an aging rural population. The fee for the service of the liberal health care professionals working there, was thought to be unsuited. The importance of examination beds and the necessity for the hospital to be managed locally were crucial. As a consequence, the recent financial reforms and the territorial groupings of hospitals were worrying. Conclusion : Outpatient care professionals and the government seem to agree that local hospital should serve to implement primary health care. However, consultations with the professionals are essential before the legislative decision.
