Parcours de soins et pratiques réelles des chanteurs lyriques professionnels en matière de santé : quelle place pour le médecin généraliste ?

Abstract : General practitioners (GP) are rarely exposed to professional lyrical singers. Yet they sometimes have to take them in charge as part of primary healthcare delivery. Specific pathologies and professional concerns characterize this population and bring particular expectations and needs. Fourteen professional lyrical singers were interviewed in order to lead a semi-conducted qualitative study, which was aimed to determine their actual care practices and their expectations from general medicine. The interviewed singers use self-medication and rely on alternative medicine, especially to prevent voice disorders. They expect more attention from their GP and a multidisciplinary care process.
