Utilisation d’un outil adapté à visée de répétition pour favoriser l’ancrage des connaissances dans la mémoire des élèves

Abstract : Neuroscience and the cognitive sciences teach us that our memories are multiple, have a diffuse location in the brain and allow revisiting education and learning process. One of the main difficulties for our students is to remember the knowledge during the summative evaluation, especially when they are in a complex situation, asking them to mobilize skills. How can we help them to overcome this difficulty and improve their memorization? The experimentation of this master’s report is based on using a tool to repeat (quizzes or exercises for instance) and to train. This tool is used with a test class and compared to a control class. The results show that repeating declarative knowledge several times allows that knowledge to be anchored in memory in the long-term. Nevertheless, it does not always help our students to be more comfortable in a more complex situation. Thus, it is important to offer our students tools such as rehearsal tools to cope with their difficulties.
