Autonomiser, motiver et développer les apprentissages de ses élèves grâce à une tâche complexe en géographie

Abstract : One of the major concerns of 21st century French Republican high school is to prepare its future citizens to real life problems. A "tâche complexe" aims to teach its students back some autonomy while motivating them. Through a realistic objective, students are expected to invent a strategy which has to be effective although it can be different from one group to another. To do so, students are expected to use skills they have learnt at school but which may also come from their everyday life experience. Students have to assess their strategy in a realistic situation. The overall ambition of a "tâche complexe" is to give students transferable skills which may be used again facing a complex situation in their everyday life. This pedagogic bet aims to make students aware of the world complexity, articulating school skills and innate abilities.
