Analyse des pratiques professionnelles auprès d’orthophonistes utilisant un outil de guidance des troubles de l’oralité alimentaire

Abstract : Clinical practices and management of these disorders are hemerging and heterogeneous. Elisa Levavasseur, speech and language therapist, created oral guidance booklets in 2015. These booklets are used by 287 speech-language pathologists. The objective of this thesis is to know what are the professional practices of speech-language pathologists using these booklets and the relevance of this tool. A total of 122 professionals responded ; 89 speech therapists used this tool with at least 1 patient, which constitutes a sample of 134 patients. The data collected highlight motor, sensory and environmental benefits. Up to 4 years old, booklets seem relevant. Also, 56% of speech-language pathologists use this tool in sessions. These data are a first opening to the analysis and understanding of the management of this disorder. A pre- and post-use analysis of these booklets with patients would be necessary to measure the scientific relevance of the tool.
