La gestation pour autrui en France : comment se positionnent les professionnels de périnatalité ? Étude dans trois maternités de Normandie Occidentale

Abstract : Results : among 150 replies obtained, 57 (38%) seems against the legal French surrogacy policy, 81(54%) are favourable, and 12 (8%) have no opinion. The youngest would be more likely to the authorization. The pro-reform population and the opposite one are totally split on the arguments which justify or not the continued French ban. These two populations have even so shared values regarding the guidelines for surrogacy such as commercial surrogacy ban and to not impose a life style to surrogate mother. Conclusion : thus, the surrogacy is some kind of new medical aid modality procedure for ART (Assisted Reproduction Technique), where the crossover between freedom and dignity are difficult to determine. The surrogacy is a thought-provoking subject and requires some difficult debates. Indeed, regulation topics will be determined in case of legalization and the responsibility should not return to the health-care personnel responsibility.
