Granulomatose oro-faciale : démarche diagnostique et présentation de cas cliniques

Abstract : OroFacial Granulomatosis (OFG) represents a group of diseases characterized by non-caseating granulomatous inflammation of the orofacial region. This condition is rare, the nomenclature is controversial. The etiopathogenesis of OFG is not well understood. In the literature, multiple etiologies have been postulated: genetic, immunological, allergic and infectious. The clinical features associate differents oro-facial signs. However, other extra-oral clinical signs may be associated when the OFG is part of a systemic pathology: Crohn's disease, Sarcoidosis. The diagnosis of OFG is anatomo-clinical. Making the diagnosis requires to systematicly search for extra-oral signs to determine whether the involvement is isolated or associated with systemic involvement. Orofacial involvement sometimes precedes systemic involvement, making clinical surveillance essential. The aim of this thesis is to review the diagnostic approach of OFG. This work will be illustrated by clinical cases.
