État des lieux des prescriptions des analyses virologiques sur les prélèvements de liquides céphalorachidiens et optimisation de leur prise en charge au laboratoire de virologie du CHU de Caen

Abstract : We introduce this work with an update of the epidemiology concerning the many viral agents responsible for central nervous system (CNS) infections. The first part describes the circuit of a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sample in the CHU of Caen, from the collection to the analysis in the virology laboratory. We describe the results of these analysis between January 1st 2015 and December 31th 2016, and the prescriptions from the different care departments. The second part of this work reports a comparison of 2 RT-PCR method used for the detection of enteroviruses in the CSF, and an evaluation of a multiplex PCR for the detection of 14 pathogens agents involved in infectious meningitis and encephalitis.
