Prévalence des facteurs de risque cardio-vasculaire dans le syndrome coronarien aigu dans l'Est de la Réunion

Abstract : Introduction: cardiovascular risk factors are the same among all populations, however, their prevalence may differ among a targeted population. The main objective is to sort out major and non-major risk factors observed in patients with acute coronary syndrom (ACS) diagnosed at emergency department. Methods: This was a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional questionnaire study including most of risk factors already highlighted in the literature. Patients were recruited if they both displayed ACS compatible symptoms and were treated at the Smur-Urgence in the Groupe Hospitalier Est Reunion after January 2016. The study specified the inclusion of 100 patients after exclusion of the ones whose coronarography was normal or of those whose troponin rate did not rise. After that, descriptive statistics were made. Results: 67 men and 33 women were included. Mean age was 62 years old. Most frequent risk factors found in decreasing order were: arterial hypertension, inactivity, psychosocial stress, family history of cardio-vascular diseases, diabetes, obesity and then smoking. Psychosocial stress was more frequent among women. Discussion: this study aimed to observe the importance of inactivity, psychosocial stress but also obesity among this Est Reunion region population. These results could allow better detection of patient with ACS and better targeting of both primary and secondary preventions .
