Utilisation des patchs Qutenza® dans le syndrome douloureux post-mastectomie

Abstract : Topical capsaicin (Qutenza®) is often used for post-mastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) management. We analysed Qtenza® mechanism of action and PMPS physiopathology in order to validate its relevance in this indication. We then studied a population of patient who were treated by Qutenza®, all indications mixed, at a Regional Cancer Center. The main study tool was NPSI self-questionnaire that was developed to study and characterise neuropathic pain dimensions. This study allowed us to describe the population affected by PMPS and PMPS pain characteristics: incidence, intensity, dimensions (burn, constriction…).
