Amélioration de l'information aux premiers acheteurs des produits de la mer

Abstract : To keep a French competitive fisheries industry, anticipated fish landings are the first step to enhance the market transparency. Nowadays, many information systems for first buyers of seafood are implemented. Different actors are concerned by these forecasted landings information but they have diverging interests and needs. Anticipated fish landings should answer them in order to expand. The main difficulty to be overcome is the reliability of datas. Indeed, producers are not always reluctant to give exact information, but the buyers need it for preparing the market. A work on producers to get them more concerned is essential. Collecting information is also a crucial point. Now, the fish auctions have daily contacts with the fishing boat, which is time-consuming. A reliable source of data could be the electronic logbooks that are an absolute requirement on board for fishing vessels of twelve meters in length and over. They should be completed everyday with catch data. Collecting data directly from the electronic logbooks seems to avoid an excess cost of work for the producer and can offer reliable information as they are first intended to control operations. Finally, data transfer to the first buyers could exist thanks to an Internet common platform, meeting the specific needs of theses actors who would like to get an homogeneous information over the fish markets.
