Prise en charge des patients infirmes moteurs cérébraux au cabinet dentaire : rédaction d'une plaquette à l'attention du chirurgien-dentiste

Abstract : Oral diseases are usually more frequent and more severe in patients with cerebral palsy (CP). However, access to prevention, check-up and dental care is still insufficient. Patients and caregivers remain poorly informed about access to dental care and the dentist is not usually included in the multidisciplinary team surrounding the patient. Indeed, many dentists are still poor in the management of these patients. Their symptoms and specific problems are still unknown and the care of these patients is very limited. Consequently, an informative brochure for dentists was elaborated. It explains the essential points of the symptomatology of these patients as well as the behaviors and actions to be taken in the dental office.
