Développement d’un support d’éducation thérapeutique concernant l’activité physique utilisable en soins primaires en vue d’induire un changement de comportement

Abstract : CONTEXT: Regular physical activity reduces all-cause mortality rate. One-third of French population does not follow the World Health Organization recommendations in this field. A nurse from ASALEE association has designed an educational therapy support about physical activity and wondered about its validity. TARGET: To develop an educational therapy support about physical activity that can be used in primary care to lead to a behavioral change. METHOD: Several steps have been achieved to go on developing the support: interprofessional meetings, bibliography, participant observation, illustrations designed in an action-research cycle such as Plan, Do, Study, Act. A consensus method, called DELPHI, enabled the support evolution until its validation by a group of experts, all of this representing the “Study” step. RESULTS: A two-sided board made of ten illustrations, each conveying a key message, was designed. An explanation detailing and justifying each message was joined with. The support was designed to be usable within the patient-carer relationship. Thirteen health professionals formed the experts panel. Two rounds were necessary to obtain the consensus to validate the support. CONCLUSION: The support is developed enough to be testable and challenged by professionals. The next step of its development to reach validation will be the "Act" step: to have the support tested by professionals in a global approach of therapeutic education.
