Mise en place d’une évaluation externe globale quantitative et qualitative du dispositif Prév’enBus Séniors par Actions Collectives : analyse des résultats sur 3 mois d’activité

Abstract : Introduction: with the aging of the population, the maintenance of autonomy among seniors is a public health issue, especially in rural areas. It is in this context that the Prév’enBus Séniors par Actions Collectives (PSAC) program was launched in 2016. This is a preventive action for seniors, in a transformed bus, which provides interventions on various topics of health prevention led by a multidisciplinary team in 14 communes of Grand Libournais. Objectives: the main objective of our study was to describe the population received. The secondary objectives were to measure the impact of the interventions on knowledge and to evaluate participants' satisfaction in order to improve the device. Material and method: we conducted a quantitative and qualitative, multicenter, prospective study between September 18 and December 14, 2017 in the territory of Grand Libournais, 3 sessions of 2 interventions each. The user profile was collected by a unique self-questionnaire per participant. The acquisition of knowledge was measured using a 4 items “true / false” quiz before and after each intervention. The satisfaction was appreciated by a scale on different criteria and by open questions at the end each intervention. Results: among the 72 user profiles collected, there was a majority of women (91%), the average age was 70.3 years, 55% of the people lived alone and 65% had family nearby. 67% of them did not receive any help. We analyzed 305 questionnaires of knowledge and satisfaction. The margin of progression of knowledge all intervention is 41.6%. The users were "very satisfied" on the majority of the studied criteria (between 54 and 81%) and the general satisfaction was 90% (70% of “very satisfied” and 20% of “satisfied”), the communication most perfectible criteria. Discussion: the PSAC program has fulfilled its role of prevention in a friendly and empathic atmosphere, breaking seniors’ isolation of Grand Libournais. As sustainability is not assured, it could have had, above its’ primary mission, a role of gateway for health promotion linking local structures.
