Étude épidémiologique sur la couverture vaccinale du sujet de plus de 75 ans, en cabinet de médecine générale. Étude à partir de 200 dossiers patients en Picardie en 2017-2018

Abstract : Background: Immunization coverage of eldery persons has never been studied on an epidemiological study at the general practice office. Objective: the percentage of patients aged 75 years and older follow up on general practice office in Picardy, with an up-to-date immunization schedule, given the recommendations, dTP, influenza, pneumococcal disease, shingles. Methods: study of 200 patients files recorded in 20 general practitioners offices settled in Picardy, for the period 2017-2018. Results: A total of 200 patients files were included, vaccination coverage was complete for 29 files (14.4%). Individual vaccine coverage and excluding missing data were : 71 (75%), 73 (71%), 1 (1.2%) for dTP, influenza and shingles. 28 (43.7%) of patients with a risk of invasive pneumococcal disease were not vaccinated. Influenza vaccine coverage is better among practitioners who are settled since less than 10 years (p = 0.0001). Our study found 75 (37.5%) medical files without any information available. The logistic regressions show that the male gender of the patient, practitioner and activity in the urban area is protective against the lack of data for the dTP vaccine. Exercise in rural areas is harmful to have a dTP vaccination up to date. Conclusion: Vaccine coverage remains deficient in the general practice, with a important loss of data in the medical files of patient follow up in general prationners offices.
