Apport de la kinésithérapie dans le traitement du syndrome d’apnée obstructive du sommeil par orthèse d’avancée mandibulaire (OAM) : à propos d’un cas

Abstract : The obstructive hypopnea apnea syndrome (OHAS) is a multidisciplinary disease. During treatment with a mandibular advancement device (MAD), a dental discomfort but also facial and joint muscular pains can appear. Myofunctional therapy relieves tension and facial pain but also helps to treat mild sleep disorders. This clinical case highlights the contribution of maxillofacial physiotherapy in the treatment of OHAS by MAD. The adherence to the treatment is reinforced and the therapies are integrated into the daily life of the patient without pain.
