Tiens-toi près, ôte-toi de là ! Le psychomotricien en quête de la juste distance thérapeutique auprès de patients souffrant d’un Etat de Stress Post-Traumatique

Abstract : All life long, human being maintains relashionships with peers. The bodies get closer, attract, cross each others, and move away. Distance between individuals varies, according to the situations and the emotions shared. The adaptation ability seems obvious in relationships. However, the psychiatric pathology might cause disorders. The Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) creates a break of self-confident towards oneself, others and the environment. Building relationships is affected by the constant perception of danger. During psychomotricity sessions, how to hold back and ensure a feeling of security, essential for the birth of a trust-based relationship ? We will tackle, in this dissertation, the question of the right therapeutic distance.
