« La psychomotricité par elle-même » : contribution à l’auto-modélisation d’une discipline

Abstract : The unitary vision promoted by psychomotricity turns out to be often only a binocular vision. It seems doomed to an endless oscillation between body and mind, which are the two poles of dualist epistemology. Many authors advocate, however, to include psychomotricity within the paradigm of complexity. This thesis proposes starting from an analysis of the contents of the training in psychomotricity to extract a set of fundamental postulates for the discipline. He then proposes to articulate these with the yardstick of complex, non-dualistic models and to draw some consequences for psychomotricity. We discuss these according to three main axes: to care, to think, to communicate. Finally, we propose a definition of the profession inspired by complex models.
