La problématisation en sciences

Abstract : Today, taking into account the initial representations of students constitutes the heart of learning. But how does it work? How can students modify their patterns of thought in order to go beyond their initial representations? Problematization is an answer. I will try in this brief to make you discover this concept of problematization by a theoretical approach by proposing a summary of the work of Gaston Bachelard and Michel Fabre. Then, with a more experimental approach, I was able to analyze a sequence of sciences in which CM1 / CM2 students were asked to answer the following question: "why is the sky blue?". Finally, in order to know the position of the teachers vis-à-vis the initial representations in their pedagogical practice, a questionnaire was distributed in several schools. The results are presented in the analysis.
