La transposition didactique de l'histoire des arts à l'école élémentaire

Abstract : This report is dedicated to the study of the didactic transposition of Art History into primary school. The study focuses on the devices of didactic transposition of Art history, an academic subject, to the history of arts, a culture education shared at school. More specifically, this work focusses on the constitutive device of the written trace. Therefore, we can wonder to what extent the use of diversified written traces and media may influence the question of the didactic transposition of arts in primary school. This research presents the evolution of the teaching of the History of Arts since 1881 and the contrast between translation and real didactic transposition. The study performed by comparative approaches between documentary, scientific resources and situations faced up with in a classroom, brings up the systematic use of the written trace; this latter being additional to an actual artistic application of the pupils. This application is not insignificant and has to be the object of preliminary reflection from school teachers. The analysis of the proposals made by the educationalists and specialists in didactics enables to highlight the diversity of theses applications.
