La subjectivité de l’évaluation en production orale : le cas des langues vivantes

Abstract : Language assessment is a complex activity. When evaluating their students, teachers ask themselves: how can I grade my students as fairly and equitably as possible? Research has shown that evaluating with a human normativity cannot bypass the issue of subjectivity. Furthermore, its impacts on learners are numerous. It is therefore necessary to tackle the problem of biased evaluation with suitable tools allowing for a higher rate of objectivity. This thesis concentrates particularly on the question of subjectivity in oral production. Oral plays an important role in modern language teaching and, for this reason, the question of its evaluation is also more and more important. The purpose of this study is to put forth the influence of nonverbal communication in the evaluation of oral production.
