Évolution des dysménorrhées sous contraception intra-utérine au lévonorgestrel

Abstract : Introduction : Dysmenorrhea is one of the first complaints of women seeking medical advice for contraceptive needs. The intesret of Mirena® in their managment has been previously evaluated, but the effect of Jaydess® have never been researched.
Objective: The purpose of this work is to study the evolution of dysmenorrhea under intrauterine systems including Mirena® and Jaydess®.
Method : A quantitative prospective cohort and multicentric study conducted with 87 patients, from May to October 2017. Results: A significant decrease in average pain (VNS score -1.5) and maximum pain (VNS score -3.1) at 3 months of the insertion of the LNG-IUD was highlighted.
Conclusion : The expected benefits allow to advises Mirena® prescription to a dysmenorrheic woman. The data collected about Jaydess® do not guarantee its benefit on dysmenorrheic patients.
