Modélisation 3D de la végétation sur le territoire de Rennes Métropole

Abstract : A process of vegetation’s detection and segmentation allowed the clustering of an aerial LiDAR points cloud into subsets constituing crowns of trees. Generalizing the convex hull of a discreet set, the use of « alpha forms » allowed a 3D modelling (in the volume sense) of these crowns according to a parameterized level of detail. The transcription of objects generated in a CityGML format would make it possible to integrate them into an urban numerical model.
