Analyse des retards troposphériques GPS sur la zone Nord-Atlantique dans le cadre de la campagne NAWDEX

Abstract : Nowadays, GPS positioning tends to become a scientific research tool used in meteorology for the determination of the atmospheric water cycle. The GPS wet tropospheric delay can be used as an input to initialize numerical weather models and thus make better weather forecasts. The objective of this work is to evaluate the quality of the ZTD series of a network of more than 1300 GNSS stations to be used in numerical weather prediction. This is to provide a clean and reliable set of ZTD data that can be used in numerical weather prediction. To do this, several analyzes were performed. First, an analysis of the intrinsic quality of the GPS treatment was carried out in order to eliminate residual errors after adjusting the parameters. Second, ZTD data from the NAWDEX network was compared with conventional meteorological data to validate their adequacy. An optimization of PPP treatment under Gipsy-Oasis II was also performed. Finally, a study of the distribution and the spatio-temporal variations was carried out using the visualization tools developed under Python.
