Abstract : Introduction: oocyte donation becomes a means of conception by MPA as another. In France nowadays, waiting times are longer and longer, because of the increase in demand. Some couples are turning to foreign countries to obtain an oocyte donation. We were therefore interested in the obstetric and perinatal complications that these pregnancies Materials and methods: an observational and retrospective study was carried out on pregnancies obtained by oocyte donation abroad in the maternity hospitals of the University Hospital of Bordeaux and the Hospital Center of Bayonne between January 2006 and June 2017. The objective is to describe obstetric and perinatal complications of pregnancies obtained by oocyte donation abroad. Results: 62 pregnancies obtained by oocyte donation abroad were included in the 2 centers including 84% of oocyte donations in Spain. The most common complications found were gestational diabetes 27.4%, prematurity 26.22%, postpartum haemorrhage 22.6%, preeclampsia 19.35% and gestational hypertension 17.7%. These rates were higher than in the general population aged 40 and over. The caesarean section rate of 53% was not greater than in the general population of over 40 years. Placenta previa, intrauterine growth retardation and congenital malformations remain the least common complications. Conclusions: these important complications underline the necessity in our practice, the sensitization and the information of our patients on these complications of late pregnancies and by oocyte donation, so that they are at best informed before engaging in this approach of MPA.
