Utilisation du PRF en implantologie en 2018

Abstract : PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is an advance in the field of oral surgery, especially in implantology. Although its effectiveness is still disputed, it is increasingly used and considered a real tool for surgery by many dentists. The aim of this work is to expose the possible uses of PRF in implantology, explaining first of all its biological interest, then its applications before or after dental implant placement. The first part describes the history and biological characteristics of the different forms of PRF. The second part deals with the use of PRF for the maintenance of bone volume or its reconstruction before dental implants. The third part concerns the implant phase and the contribution of PRF in the healing of peri-implant tissues.
