Comment améliorer le recueil des directives anticipées ? : enquête auprès des médecins généralistes normands

Abstract : Introduction: the advance directives are considered by patients and general practitionners as interesting and useful. Yet they are underutilized. How to improve the collection of advance directives in GP's practice? Method: a survey was sent by email to the Norman general practitionners in June 2018. It consisted of a series of propositions that they had to judge according to their usefulness. A score was assigned to each answer, then the average was calculated and a ranking was established. Results: 100 general practitioners filled out the entire survey. The sample was a little younger than the population of Norman general practitionners. The involvement of the general practitionners in end-of-life collegiate decisions is the most important of the proposals (87% of the maximum score). Then the improvement of accessibility to the writing models (86%) including the model of the HAS (79%) then the initial medical training at the faculty (79%). On the other hand, making advance directives mandatory (38%), the use of play games to play down the discussion (37%) or remuneration by ROSP (32%) are largely rejected by generalists. Discussion: for the collection of advance directives, generalists wish to improve the coordination and training of health professionals. They also want to improve the models, their access and their media. Public information and the organization of the collection remain important without being the priority. The remuneration of advance directives is a cleavage among GPs.
