La temporisation en implantologie orale chez l'édenté complet

Abstract : Rehabilitation by implant-supported prosthesis of the edentulous patient is now part of the therapeutic arsenal of the dentist. One of the problems is the management of the period between the patient receives implants and the laying of the final prosthesis. This is the temporization phase. Even in the temporization phase, the functional and aesthetic requirements of the patient are high. The objectives of the temporization are to compensate the edentulousness, to validate the aesthetic project and to protect the operating site. This work sets out the various prosthetic temporization solutions that can be proposed to the edentulous patient. These timing solutions will be removable or fixed, the choice of one or the other solution depends on the surgical conditions of placement of the implants and the clinical situation. When the primary stability of the implants is greater than 35 N.cm-1, immediate loading of the implants will be done. In order to connect the prosthesis to temporary cylinders, two protocols are exposed: the pick up technique and the direct chair technique. In the case of insufficient primary stability, the implants are not loaded during the bone healing phase. Implant loading is deferred, and a deferred or rapid delayed prosthesis protocol will be performed depending on the clinical situation.
