L'intérêt pédagogique du chant dans l'enseignement d'une langue vivante étrangère à l'école primaire

Abstract : This work presents a study of the different tools you can use as a foreign language teacher in order to be as effective as possible. It focuses more especially on the use of songs and singing to improve one's ability to speak a foreign language. The study takes place in two separate classrooms : one last year nursery school classroom from Port-de-Bouc composed of twelve children from five to six years old. On top of that, the second class is Nicolas' fifth grade class from Plan-de-Cuques. Our thesis statement would be : how the use of songs may improve the learning of a foreign language. In order to answer such an interrogation, we choose to use an experimental approach. We wanted to see if by using songs and making the children sing it would raise their participation and involvement in class, and in the end their overall results.
