Mise en place du dépistage néonatal de la drépanocytose en Nouvelle Aquitaine

Abstract : At present in Metropolitan France, five pathologies are detected at birth. Four of these are systematically detected in all newborns: phenylketonuria, congenital hypothyroidism, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and mucoviscidosis. For sickle cell disease, the neonatal screening is only carried out in children at risk. This hemoglobinopathy is a global public health problem with numerous complications, hence the importance of the implementation of this neonatal screening, for rapid and optimal management, even before the appearance of clinical signs. Neonatal screening for sickle cell disease is an integral part of a program developed and coordinated at the national level, by the National Center for Neonatal Screening, relayed at the regional level, by the Regional Centers for Neonatal Screening, which are themselves attached to the University Hospital Centers, integrating into a new organization of national neonatal screening since March 2018. The Regional Center for Neonatal Screening of the “Nouvelle Aquitaine”, approved by the Regional Agency for Health, has set up this screening at the Bordeaux University Hospital Center. This new offer involved the implementation of a change management procedure (flexible scope management) according to the requirements of standard 15189. The various stages of this procedure formed the main theme of the thesis work.
