Projet d’implantation de nouveaux outils diagnostiques (échographie, radiographie, biologie délocalisée, télé-expertise) sur l’île de Porquerolles : évaluation théorique de l’impact sur la fréquence des évacuations médicales de l'île

Abstract : Medicine on the island of Porquerolles has many specificities having as a common denominator a maritime boundary keeping her away from the traditional care system. Following a related work that allowed to understand causes, modalities and medico-economics consequences of medical evacuations from Porquerolles, this new research was interested in tools allowing in theory an incidence decrease of these evacuations. As such, the theoretical roles of radiography, ultrasound, point-of-care blood testing and telemedicine were analyzed through a prospective observational study that was conducted from May to November 2018. It highlighted the advantages and disadvantages inherent to the potential implementation of each of these new tools on the island of Porquerolles. Its ultimate goal has been to improve the care of patients on the island while reducing collective health expenditure
