Intérêt du protocole JeREV (relaxation et émotions positives) dans la construction d'un scénario de bande dessinée chez des enfants de 6 à 12 ans atteints de stress post-traumatique suite à l'attentat de Nice

Abstract : Children with Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorders (PTSD) feel fewer positive emotions. They can develop emotional regulation troubles, and their quality of life is reduced. Our purpose was to measure the effect of the virtual relaxation protocol "JeREV" concerning children with PTSD. Our first research (study 1) focuses on the ability to create positive scenarios in a comics serious-game. Our second research was a case study with an electroencephalography (EEG) measurement. Our purpose was to understand the underlying mechanisms of our care (study 2). Our results show that the duration of our action is insufficient for the emotional valency of the comics to be increased. We also expose a significant correlation between the ability to create positive scenarios and the quality of life of the children (study 1). The case study demonstrates that, qualitative improvement of the comic, of quality of life, and the decline of PTSD, associated with a decreased activation of the areas underlying emotional regulation may indicate a reduction in anxiety. Those results encourage future researches with a longer intervention. We could also harness the creation of comics as a way to get information about the quality of life of the children. Finally, we propose to include a measurement of the physiological emotional component associated with the EEG measures, to fully objectify the relaxation effect of the protocol.
