Étude géomorphologique multi-scalaire pour la qualification de l'évolution spéléo-génique de la grotte de la Madeleine (Ardèche, France)

Abstract : This study has been completed within a project of re-valorization and re-vitalization of the touristic site of the Madeleine cave in Bas Vivarais (Ardèche, France). It’s aim is to describe, from a geomorphological point of view, the speleogenesis and speleogenetic evolution of the cave. The study uses a multi- scalar approach to restore and finely qualify the natural history of the cavity, through the mobilization of different tools (geomorphological maps, 3D data) and graphic supports. The use of different analysis scales enables to accurately report the speleogenic and karstogenic evolution of the network. The geomorphological questions raised by a small scale are detailed and analysed on a larger scale. This allows to describe the paragenetic dynamics as the main karstogenic motor in the cave construction. The last part of this report is dedicated to the restitution of the knowledge acquired on this site and it’s integration in the paleo-geographical models of the Ardèche valley, in connection with the messino-pliocene eustatic cycle.
