Réflexion sur la relation soignant-soigné dans un service d'oncologie adulte

Abstract : Relationships are at the heart of human identity. The quality of the bonds that we maintain throughout our life builds the person that we are. My internship at the adult Oncology Unit of the Hospital made me question this context and the relationship that is built between the patient and the health care staff. The caregivers are truly involved physically, but the question is : how much attention is paid to their everyday physical experience and how to take care of it? Could this consideration improve the caregiver’s state of well-being and have an impact on the patient or even be a benefit for him? These questions focused my study on the fundamentals of the relationship, and then on the benefit of a psychomotor practice in an adult oncology department. This practice can be for both patients and caregivers. For staff, it is similar to a primary prevention of psychosocial risks, and also positively promotes a good quality and harmonious relationship between the caregiver and the cared.
