L'utilisation des lignes de base en orthophonie : illustration à partir d'un cas clinique dans le cadre de la prise en charge d'un trouble développemental du langage oral

Abstract : Baseline (LDB) is a technique that is part of Evidence-Based Practice. In an approach of analysis of the interest of baselines in speech therapy, our study aims to illustrate the different stages of a management of developmental language disorder based on LDB through a unique clinical case, in order to to determine if LDBs facilitate SLT management. Our goal is to find out if creating and using LDBs can improve the oral flexural output of particular feminine nouns in the context of managing a dysphasic adolescent. Pre- and post-test LDBs with trained and non-trained items were proposed to verify the effectiveness, transfer and specificity of our intervention. The results of our study highlight the progress made by the patient: the correct oral production of inflections of the particular feminie nouns has significantly increased and the improvement of the scores has also been generalized to the untrained items. The practice of LDB thus makes it possible to objectify the evolution of the care and progress of the patient. Such an approach would need to be systematized and shared in a speech therapy clinic.
