Induction inhalatoire chez l’enfant avecl a station d’anesthésie GE® Aisys CS2en mode Fet cible : Faisabilité et délai d’induction– analyse intermédiaire

Abstract : Introduction: Target controlled inhalation induction has been performed in adult with anesthesia workstation Drager® ZEUS and in children with anesthesia workstation Air Liquide® Felix-AInOC. Because of the differences between anesthesia workstation, results can’t be extrapolated. The purposeis to evaluate if target controlled inhalation induction can ben done in children with GE AISYS CS2 workstation. We also study if changing the lower limit of fresh gas flow had an influence on the delay. Method: This study is prospective, nonrandomized, done in the CHU of Toulouse. Children between 5 et 14 years old have been included. The anesthesist chose the indiction technic he usually use : Standard inhalation induction with 6% inspired sevoflurane and 6l/min gas flow (conv 6l) or target controlled inhalation induction with 4% sevoflurane expired target and lower limit of fresh gas flow at 6 l/min (Fet cible 6l) or 0,5l/min (fet cible mini). Results: Target controlled inhalation induction have been don without any complication. Induction was faster (p<0,01) in Conv 6l group than Fet cible mini group. Sevoflurane expired exceed the target in 62,5% in fet mini group and 50% in fet cible 6l group. Conclusion: Target controlled inhalation induction can be performed in children with GE AISYS anesthesia workstation. A randomized study need to be done for more informations.
