Éllie et sa maman, une rencontre prématurée : la psychomotricité en soutien à la relation parent-enfant en service de néonatalogie

Abstract : The meeting between a baby and his parents is a psychomotor process, which is built by physical tests and emotional matching. The fluidity of exchanges influences the quality of the relationship. When birth occurs too early, parents and baby become premature. We observe it through Ellie’s neonatal hospitalization story, born at 26+3 weeks of amenorrhea. Ellie, confronted with atypical sensory-motor experiences, meets her mother, herself facing major psychic issues. When this baby’s difficulties meet his mother’s, their meeting hardly find a consistency. The neonatal team plays a role in supporting this nascent parenting. Within this team, the psychomotor therapist is positioned as a reader of the tonic-emotional dialogue, to support the construction of parent-child links.
