Intérêts d’un atelier de danse pour des personnes âgées vivant avec la maladie d’Alzheimer

Abstract : Through the evolution in a contemporary dance’s group, of four elderly wemen, with the Alzheimer's disease and living in an establishment for dependent elderly ; I have tried to think through the implications of a bodymind approach on the body representation. Indeed, aging, dependency, and Alzheimer's disease have repercussions on the body schema‘s functionment and on the body image. The mentioned dance’s group leads to the development of creativity and expressivity, as well as the strengthening of the feeling of identity and of the self-esteem from the elderly that often can be damaged by external factors.
